NeNe Leakes Reminisces ‘Dreamy’ Time With Former President Barack Obama At White House

NeNe Leakes was moved by former president Barack Obama’s farewell speech on Tuesday that the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star decided to reminisce about the time she met the Obamas in the White House. The reality star also thanked Obama for what he has done for the country.

On Instagram, Leakes shared a throwback photo that shows her posing somewhere inside the White House during the Correspondents Dinner last year. In her caption, the 49-year-old TV personality revealed that it was a “dreamy” and “proud moment” for her to be a guest at the presidential residence.

Leakes also praised Obama’s family for having “class” and grace.” When it came to the former president, Leakes only has good words to say. She admired Obama for making everyone in the country feel that they belong. According to Leakes, Obama has done a great job in serving the United States.

Many of Leakes’ fans who were moved by her post quickly responded to her with positive messages. One fan wrote: “I’m so mad and sad! I can’t help but feel this way. Obama made me feel so good and like I belonged.” Another chimed in: “You couldn’t have said it any better NeNe.”

Leakes’ shout-out to the former president comes days after she the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. At the time, the actress and fashion designer took to Instagram to share a picture of her red carpet appearance. She also revealed on social media that she gets shy when walking the red carpet.

Interestingly, Leakes’ attendance at the Golden Globes became more interesting when she had a reunion with her former “RHOA” co-star Kenya Moore. While Leakes did not document her meeting with Moore, the latter proudly posted a snap of them standing side-by-side on the red carpet on her Instagram account.

Moore revealed on the photo-sharing platform that she had a blast with Leakes. This is somehow hard to believe since the two have become enemies on the Bravo series. Prior Leakes’ exit from “RHOA,” she even allied with Moore’s mortal enemies Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams, according to Gossip On This.
