Nene Leakes Warns ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Cast After Shady BravoCon Comments
On Sunday night, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 viewers were thrilled about Nene Leakes’ debut on Season 12 of the series. However, some of her cast members appeared to be content about her absence from BravoCon over the weekend.
The event marked the network’s first fan convention, where viewers had the opportunity to rub elbows with some of their favorite reality stars. Although “RHOA” stars like Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, and Eva Marcille were on hand to sit on panels and chat with fans, the Swagg Boutique owner was nowhere in sight.
In a statement to People, Nene’s rep revealed that a prior engagement kept the star from attending the event. “She had to travel to Los Angeles for a pre-existing work commitment she was not able to get out of. Simple as that,” the statement read.
However, Kenya managed to shade her cast mate’s absence by claiming Nene has left fans disappointed. “This platform is for the fans. We’re here because we want to be here for the fans,” Moore explained.
Porsha later chimed in and suggested that Nene’s decision to skip BravoCon affected her costars. “In this group, I think when one of us is missing, the dynamic changes,” the “Dish Nation” host explained.
“This group is a group of very strong-minded women, women who are very vocal, very opinionated. It will always be something happening with us, and when one of us is missing or when one of us rejoins the group, it’s obviously going to be another spark. Each person in the cast plays their part. When NeNe comes, you’ll see another dynamic in the group.”
However, Kenya didn’t share the same sentiments as Porsha and thought it would be best to “just fast-forward through” Nene’s parts.
On Sunday, Nene appeared to shade her castmates by posting a tweet to warn them about her plans to clap back at their comments. “Hey ladies, I was here for all the shade! Now when I give it back, don’t be too sensitive and have amnesia! You know how y’all like to play victim,” she wrote.
As far as her future relationship with Nene goes, Kenya doesn’t think she and her rival will ever see eye to eye. “I was a girl before who would never say never because I do believe that anything can happen,” she explained.
“Things change, your life changes. With regards to NeNe, I think that relationship is done pretty much,” the former beauty queen added.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” Season 12 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
