Netflix Is Adding These New Movies And TV Shows In August 2019

The first of the month always brings new Netflix goodies. August will bring plenty of beloved movies and TV shows to the streaming service along with quite a few new originals.

Aug. 1 brought back classics like the “Rocky” franchise, “Now and Then” and “Sex and the City: The Movie.” Later this month, recent TV seasons like “Jane the Virgin” Season 5, “Knightfall” Season 2 and “iZombie” Season 5 will start streaming on Netflix.

Of course, there are plenty of Netflix originals debuting in August as well. “GLOW,” starring Alison Brie and Betty Gilpin, returns for Season 3. Jonathan Groff returns in “MINDHUNTER” Season 2. “13 Reasons Why” Season 3 comes back after much controversy. Netflix will also premiere the highly anticipated first season of “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.”
