Netflix
Netflix will be losing more than 135 of its movies and TV shows in October. Find out if your favorites will still be around next month. Netflix

With both September and summer coming to an end, people are likely ready to switch up their TV watching paradigm and gear it more toward the fall season. Unfortunately, the month of October is a particularly bad one for users of Netflix as it’s losing a great deal of content starting Oct. 1.

More than 135 titles are leaving Netflix at the beginning of October, meaning users have precious little time to check out some incredible movies and TV shows before they disappear from the site’s extensive library for the foreseeable future.

With Halloween right around the corner, there’s some seriously bad news for horror aficionados as some of Netflix’s best spooky films won’t be around through the 31st. Scary movies like “Cujo" (1983), “Darkness Falls” (1998), “The Devil’s Rejects” (2005), ”Night of the Living Dead” (1968) and “Pet Sematary” (1989) will no longer be available to view starting on Oct. 1. This means it will be that much more difficult to terrify yourself into the holiday spirit when Halloween finally arrives.

Meanwhile, those who prefer a slightly more relaxed viewing experience will be devastated to learn the universally renowned chilliest movie of all time, “The Big Lebowski” (1998), will no longer be available on Netflix in October either. Make sure you’re planning next month’s binge-watch properly by checking out the rest of the titles that won’t be included in Netflix’s library in the coming month below (via NetflixUpdate).
