Netflix
A sign at the Netflix headquarters in Los Gatos CA. In September, the popular streaming service will lose more than 70 titles. Netflix

Now that Netflix has become a necessity for the avid TV and movie watcher, it’s important to stay up-to-date on what is and isn’t available on the popular streaming service. Each month, the company’s users have to endure a maddening addition and subtraction of content that will leave many people wondering why that show they wanted to watch is no longer available.

According to CNET, September 2015 will be a bad month for children’s programming as popular titles such as “Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London,” “Bratz: Rock Angelz,” “Rugrats in Paris: The Movie” and more will all vanish from Netflix’s instant streaming as early as Sept 1.

Meanwhile, another puzzling loss from the company’s library is the mind-bending kung fu classic “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.” While many movies disappear from Netflix each month, this one is special because Deadline previously reported that Netflix will be the home to the sequel of the Ang Lee-directed Martial arts epic, “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: The Green Legend.” The sequel is set to premiere in the first quarter of 2016 exclusively on Netflix and in Chinese theaters. It would make sense for Netflix to keep the original movie, which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2001 Academy Awards, for viewers who aren’t familiar with it to watch before diving into the highly anticipated sequel. But alas, it seems as though that’s not in the cards legally for the company starting in Sept.
