Netflix Titles Leaving January 2019
"The Princess Diaries" is one of dozens of movies leaving Netflix in January 2019. Disney

Netflix is kicking off the new year by saying goodbye to some favorite movies. If you’ve been putting off watching any of these titles, it’s time to tune in before they disappear from the streaming service in January 2019.

Romantics will be disappointed to see quite a few good titles leaving Netflix. “Love Actually” will disappear right after the holidays as will the Kate Hudson-Matthew McConaughey classic “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.”

A few Disney films are leaving as well. Anne Hathaway’s breakout film “The Princess Diaries” will leave Netflix as will “Finding Neverland,” the movie about J.M. Barrie (Johnny Depp). “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” will also set off for a galaxy far, far away. Expect Disney movies to keep expiring from Netflix every month as the company gears up to launch Disney+, their own streaming service in September.

Those who prefer their films more dramatic are also losing some good movies in January. The “Godfather” trilogy will expire from Netflix this month as will “Friday Night Lights” and “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.”

Comedy fans aren’t safe either, but there aren’t too many laugh-worthy flicks leaving. “Meet the Parents” and “Meet the Fockers” are going away this month. Syfy’s “Sharknado” franchise is also disappearing from the streaming platform.
