The netizens want Johnny Depp back as Jack Sparrow after Amber Heard’s audio confession leaked.

Johnny Depp is no longer part of Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. He played the popular character of Jack Sparrow in the five movies from 2003. However, he was removed following his ex-wife Heard’s allegations that he was violent and abusive.

Just recently, an audio recording of their counseling leaked with Heard confessing that she hit Depp. She also taunted the actor to tell the world that he was the victim and see if many would believe that a man like him would be abused by a woman like her. Following the leakage, the netizens have been campaigning for justice for Depp. They also want Disney to take Depp back as Jack Sparrow.

An online petition calling Disney’s attention to keep Depp as their favorite character Jack Sparrow in the movies has already gained over 29,000 signatures as of writing. An online user named Femke started it and wrote, “I want to keep Johnny Depp as jack sparrow because he made the films extra fun and I just can’t think about a pirates 6 without Johnny Depp.”

Several online users supported the petition because they believe that Depp portrayed the role excellently. They couldn’t imagine another “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie without him.

“There is only one person who could be Captain Jack Sparrow, Johnny was demonized by Hollywood and the media and wrongly accused, no one gave him a chance, now it has been proven that he is innocent, he should be reinstated in his iconic role,” Marika Dolinsky from Australia commented.

“He’s bloody amazing and NO ONE will replace him!!!!” Katherine Eschle added.

“Do you remember the moment Captain Jack Sparrow stole your heart?Johnny Depp is Jack Sparrow, the one and only!” @pomta5426 wrote on Twitter.

“Now that the truth has come out, @Disney needs to get JOHNNY DEPP back into Captain Jack Sparrow. He needs to be given his life back,” @Enterprise585 wrote.

While the netizens are petitioning for Depp’s return to the popular movie series, many want Heard to be removed from all of her projects. There is already a petition calling for the production of “Aquaman” to remove Heard from the film. Some also threatened to boycott L’Oreal for getting Heard as its “humanitarian” ambassador. They want the brand to remove Heard from its line of endorsers.
