Angry Birds Fans can now get an out-of-this-world gaming experience of the most popular game on several mobile and desktop platforms.

Rovio Entertainment announced Thursday that its latest Angry Birds Space is available for $0.99 on iPhone, iPod touch and Android smartphones. The world's most downloaded game in HD version is also available on iPad and Android tablets for $2.99, with ad-free version soon to follow. Mac users can download the new installment from the Mac store for $4.99, with PC retail copies to follow shortly.

This launch marks a huge step for us as a company, and our whole team and partners have really pulled together to bring out a fantastic array of exciting products and experiences. The Finland-based company and its partners held events to mark the release of the new game in Beijing, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Seattle and Tokyo. Rovio added that the new installment features 60 interstellar levels, while many more can be added with free updates.

According to the Daily Mail, the game has already been downloaded around 700 million times and has fetched nearly $7 billion in the two years since its launch in 2010.
