The two new Bond girls have been announced. English actress Naomie Harris and French actress Bérénice Marlohe will star alongside current James Bond portrayer Daniel Craig in the upcoming film SkyFall.

The film will also star Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, and, of course, Judi Dench.

Harris and Marlohe join a long list of beautiful women who have played the loves -- and sometimes foes -- of the British Secret Service's most sophisticated agent.

Critics of Bond girls say they are just eye candy, another chance for men to objectify women on the big screen. But several actresses have managed to bring a fresh take to their parts. Eva Green is one example. She brought a great deal of depth to the role of Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, winning critical praise and the BAFTA Rising Star Award.
