  • Fans shared concern about the timeline of "Eternals" and "Avengers: Infinity War"
  • Kumail Nanjiani performs a Bollywood dance number in the trailer
  • "Eternals" is slated to release on Nov. 5

Director Chloé Zhao's highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, "Eternals," finally released on Monday.

Marvel Studios' official Twitter handle shared the official trailer of the movie.

"Throughout the years we have never interfered, until now," it said. "Watch the brand-new teaser trailer for Marvel Studios' #Eternals and experience it in theaters this November."

Fans couldn't hold back their excitement since the trailer dropped. While many users appreciated the trailer, some Marvel fans seemed confused regarding the connection between "Eternals" and "Avengers: Infinity War."

One of the fans wrote, "This makes no sense. You're telling me they wouldn't interfere with Thanos?" Another fan replied, "Thanos was a threat to one universe, clearly above their pay grade. While at the same time, stopping the eradication of half the human population would be meddling with the development of humanity."

One person noted that the "Avengers" movie series' biggest threat was "half of ALL life, not just human or life on Earth... that's why the Guardians got snapped."

Another user also had a similar concern related to Thanos and asked if any of the "Eternals" were killed. "I have a doubt. Were any of The Eternals dusted during Thanos' snap or are they immune to the powers of the infinity stones? I mean there is only a 1 in a 1024 chance that all of them survived the snap," the user wrote.

Some fans poked fun at Eternals' superheroes for enjoying themselves while Avengers were fighting against Thanos.

The trailer features Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Salma Hayek as Ajak and Kit Harington as Black Knight.

Fans didn't get any movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But it seems the second half of 2021 will be filled with superhero movies.

"Eternals" will be the third release in the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie is slated to release on Nov. 5, 2021. Before "Eternals," Marvel Studios will release "Black Widow" on July 9 and "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" on Sept. 3.

After "Eternals," Marvel will release the fourth movie from phase four, Jon Watts-helmed "Spider-Man: No Way Home," on Dec. 17, this year.
