It has been 27 years since the last novel from the “Flowers in the Attic” Dollanger series was released. But new interest in the books from the '70s and '80s has spiked, thanks to Lifetime's success of the remake of the 1979 film “Flowers in the Attic” starring Heather Graham.

The new book will be broken up in two parts, “Christopher’s Diary: Secrets of Foxworth.” The books, which will be released in November this year, were written by V.C Andrews ghost writer Andrew Neiderman, who was able to give Amanda Remling an exclusive interview about the new project.

Neiderman is familiar with V.C Andrews' writing style and has been her ghost writer since her death in 1986. He has written 70 novels as the ghost writer for Andrews and plans to keep her style of writing and similar elements of the book series, while sharing a story that is new and can stand on its own.

Now, is the time it seems for publishers pushing the new novel “Christopher’s Diary: Secrets Of Foxworth,” due to the success of the Lifetime movie. The remake of the classic “Flowers in the Attic” premiered with an impressive 6.1 million viewers. The original book sold over 40 million copies in more than 95 countries around the world. With these numbers it is safe to assume the new books will be a huge hit.
