New Mexico Man Arrested For Having Sex While Driving Drunk, Luis Briones Hid Behind Cactus To Evade Police [PHOTO]

A 25-year old New Mexico man was arrested after he allegedly drove drunk while having sex with a woman. He crashed his car, fled from the police and hid behind a cactus, the Albuquerque Journal reports.

Police found Luis Briones wearing his shorts inside out. His female passenger was discovered naked after being ejected from his car.

“Mr. Briones was observed to be having sexual intercourse with the passenger and sped off … at a high rate of speed,” the Albuquerque police officer wrote in a criminal complaint. “Their activities presented a danger to others in the roadway as exhibited by the accident.”

Witnesses say Briones ran a red light, crashed into another car, ejecting the naked woman from the car. According to the police report, Briones was trying to drive away when he was caught, KRQE reports.

One witness says he helped catch Briones by dragging him out of the crashed car.

"He actually got back in the car to start it and tried to drive away. So, I went over and knocked on the window and took him out of the car," an unnamed witness said.

The same witness recounts asking the woman if she was hurt.

"It was crazy because I'd never seen anything like that. I didn't know what to think," a witness told Action 7 News. "She was completely exposed. She was on her side, lying on her side with her arm over her face. I went up, and she was just laying there. I asked, 'Are you OK?' and she was like 'Yeah.'"

Briones is being held without bail. He faces charges including aggravated DWI, reckless driving and evading police.
