Whether you're into thriller, horror, romance, or drama, there is something in store for you this weekend. Here's a list of newly-dropped movies that you can stream online and some of them you can also watch in theaters.
Halloween Ends
"Halloween Ends" is the 13th installment of the popular franchise, "Halloween." Available to stream on Peacock, this horror thriller is helmed by director David Gordon Green and stars James Jude Courtney, Andi Matichak and Kyle Richards. It tells a story of a young man who gets accused of killing a little boy, whom he was babysitting. How he saves himself and finds the killer will unfold the story further.
Till
"Till" is based on a true story of a 14-year-old Black boy named Emmett Till. He was brutally killed in Mississippi in 1955 after being accused of whistling at a White woman named Carolyn Bryant. The flick is helmed by director Chinonye Chukwu and is available in theaters.
Rosaline
If you love watching Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet," then "Rosaline" is a perfect pick for you. Karen Maine's directed "Rosaline," showcases the popular "Romeo and Juliet" in a comedic way as the story is shown from Romeo's ex Rosaline's point of view. It stars Kyle Allen, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Minnie Driver and Sean Teale. The flick is streaming on Hulu.
Old Man
Up for some thriller? "Old Man" revolves around a hiker who gets lost during his journey and meets an old man, who has horrifying hidden secrets. The movie is helmed by director Lucky McKee and stars Stephen Lang, Patch Darragh, Liana Wright-Mark and Marc Senter. The flick is available on Amazon Prime Video.
The Same Storm
If you want to recall the earlier days of the COVID-19 pandemic when everyone was under a lockdown, then you should definitely check out "The Same Storm." This movie is shot with iPhones and a laptop camera. It shows the lives of 24 characters and how they spent their time during the pandemic. It is helmed by director Peter Hedges and stars Sandra Oh, Mary-Louise Parker, Elaine May, Moses Ingram and Noma Dumezweni. It is available to watch in theaters.
