New On Netflix: April Brings Over 110 New Movies, TV Shows, Specials
April is going to require plenty of social distancing, and Netflix is the perfect self-isolation partner. Luckily, the streaming service is adding loads of new movies, TV shows and specials in April, adding up to 112 fresh programs.
Comedy is certainly a necessity right now, and Netflix is bringing the laughs with new seasons of “Kim’s Convenience” and “Nailed It” as well as the new series “#BlackAF,” starring Rashida Jones and Kenya Barris, and “Never Have I Ever,” created by Mindy Kaling. There will also be new standup specials from Kanan Gill, Iliza Shlesinger, Thomas Middleditch and Ben Schwartz, Chris D’Elia, Mauricio Meirelles and David Batra.
Netflix will also be adding some recognizable comedy movies. “The Hangover,” the “Lethal Weapon” franchise, “Just Friends” and the family-friendly “Despicable Me” are all being added to streaming in April. All six seasons of “Community” will also join the streaming service.
Don’t worry, Netflix will still have all the drama in April too. “The Matrix” trilogy returns along with “Molly’s Game” and “Django Unchained.” New additions also include “Arrow” star Stephen Amell’s action movie “Code 8” and Netflix’s original documentary “Murder to Mercy: The Cyntoia Brown Story.”
