New Pure Flix Show, ’The Beverlys’: Jamie Grace Cast, Get Full Details
Pure Flix Entertainment started production on “The Beverlys,” an all-new family comedy written by Evelyn Preston, Zenobia Groves and Tommy Blaze, on Friday in Oklahoma.
The series, which will likely interest fans of Hallmark Channel’s “When Calls the Heart,” stars contemporary Christian artist Jamie Grace as a small-town girl who starts to mentor three young orphan girls. They want to start their own girl group, and Grace’s character is there to help make sure they follow the best path along the way.
“While living in a Hollywood mansion owned by a failed record exec (complete with a butler), the young girls learn valuable lessons about kindness and humility through love and hilarity,” according to a press release.
Filming of the eight-episode first season will continue in northern Oklahoma City until production wraps in mid-December. The faith-based entertainment company will release “The Beverlys” on its streaming platform, pureflix.com, in 2019.
“I’m so excited to be filming in my home state again,” Brent Ryan Green of Toy Gun Films, who is producing the show, said in the press release. “Thanks to the rebate program we are able to attract shows like ‘The Beverlys’ to Oklahoma. Originally the show was set to shoot in Los Angeles, but because of the thriving film rebate and dedicated crew in Oklahoma I was able to convince the studio to shoot here instead. They have been blown away by what Oklahoma has to offer with plans to bring more production to our state.”
Once “The Beverlys” becomes available next year, interested viewers can watch the series by subscribing to PureFlix.com for $10.99 per month or with an annual membership of $99.99. The service also offers a one-month free trial. Until then, Grace will likely be posting behind-the-scenes content on her social media pages throughout production, as she’s already begun doing so.
