New ‘The Signal From Tölva’ Trailer Reveals Release Date For Steam, GOG And Humble Bundle
The release date for “The Signal from Tölva” has finally been revealed. The open-world, first-person shooter and combat game by the same developers of “Sir, You Are Being Hunted” is now expected to officially arrive on April 10, 2017.
Just this past Sunday, journalist-turned-founder of gaming studio Big Robot Jim Rossignol shared the official release date announcement trailer for the upcoming science-fiction game on YouTube. The teaser trailer contains mostly gameplay scenes from the game, but at the end it shows the April 10 release date of “The Signal from Tölva” as well as the distribution platforms where it is going to be up for grabs. As revealed in the clip, the game will be available on Steam, GOG and Humble Bundle next month.
Unlike its forerunner that is set in a procedurally generated world, “The Signal from Tölva” will take players to hand-crafted ruins of an ancient civilization. Players engage in this game by controlling a humanoid Surveyor drone that is tasked to do two things: explore and combat. When faced with enemies, players can make use of the hi-tech weaponry available to them, including assault rifles, defensive plasma shields, concussion fields and robot-commanding modules, among others, as first reported by PC Gamer.
The official description of the game reads: “‘The Signal from Tölva’ is a journey into a wild science fiction landscape, filled with danger and beauty: you must survive terrible hazards, navigate through impossible spaces, and fight an ongoing battle to control this haunted, blighted world. You will make use of a range of powerful tools to overcome your enemies and uncover secrets: hack robots to battle alongside you, equip powerful weapons and savage defense systems.”
