Since its founding in 1994, Supreme New York has earned countless fans thanks to its simple yet innovative clothing designs. The James Jebbia-created company has maintained its following due to its commitment to "quality, style, and authenticity." Now, the skate brand is gearing up to release a new shirt thanks to a newly-announced collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami that will benefit a COVID-19 relief fund. Here's when and how you can get one for yourself.

On Tuesday, Supreme announced the new collab on their Instagram when they posted a picture of the unreleased box logo tee. The post revealed that the shirt was created as a way to "support youth and families facing homelessness during the COVID-19 pandemic." As a result, 100% of the proceeds will support HELP USA, which is an organization that assists those who have had trouble meeting their basic needs.

The shirt, which will retail for $60, can be seen below, including the back that reads "COVID-19 Relief Fund 2020."

In 2017, Jebbia spoke to Vogue about the intentions he's had over the years while designing new pieces, which include past partnerships with artist Jeff Koons and musician Neil Young. "We’re making stuff we’re proud of, not doing stuff to stay alive," he said, adding, "I don’t think enough people take risks, and when you do, people respond—in music, in art, in fashion."

As for Murakami, his aesthetic, which has worked to blend "classical Japanese art with contemporary Japanese pop culture," has additionally blurred the lines between fine and commercial art. As stated by Artnet.com, the creative has since become a "pioneer of promoting art as a brand." Not only has he collaborated with other brands in the past, including Louis Vuitton, but he also designed the cover art for Kanye West's 2007 album, "Graduation."

Those in the U.S. and Canada can buy the new Supreme x Takashi Murakami Charity Box Logo Tee on Friday if they visit the brand's official website. It's unknown what time the collab will be released, but Robb Report anticipates that it will be around 11:00 a.m., as that is the brand's "regular drop time."
