New 'Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro' Teaser, Reportedly Uploaded By Xiaomi President, Shows Device’s Golden Back
Xiaomi is expected to introduce new devices at the special event earmarked for Nov. 24. Speculations point to the announcement of both Xiaomi Mi 5 and Redmi Note 2 Pro. However, now, a new report from China pointing to the official teaser says the Note 2 Pro will definitely be launched on the aforesaid date, although there’s no word on the flagship.
As it turns out, Xiaomi’s President Lin Bin has reportedly posted the teaser images via his Weibo account, which is Twitter’s counterpart in China. One of the images shows the actual invitation, while the other gives a glimpse of the rear of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro.
GSM Arena said that the back panel of the Note series successor matches the leaked design of the device via TENAA Website. The teaser clearly shows the premium-looking metallic design and an embedded fingerprint scanner at the back. To top it off, Xiaomi has a golden hue variant in offer.
Here is a quick summary of the reported Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro specifications and features as listed by TENAA. The upcoming device will feature a 5.5-inch display, bundled with 1080p screen resolution. A cool 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor, along with a good-enough 5-megapixel front-facing snapper will be part of the handset.
Under the hood, there is no Snapdragon 820, but MediaTek MT6795 (Helio X10) SoC is believed to power the phone. The entire configuration will be backed by 2 GB of RAM and the device will come equipped with 16 GB of native storage space.
On the software front, Android Lollipop OS will apparently run the handset along with the custom MIUI skin. Lastly, the battery unit will house a solid 3,060 mAh cell.
