New York's Economic Development Corporation has done the numbers and there are 742,400 never married single men between the ages of 20-34 in the city, compared to 729,500 women. But get trucking - the ratio varies wildly from 'hood to 'hood. Washington Heights is rich territory for women on the hunt but not so the rest of Manhattan. Get over to Sheepshead Bay and Jackson Heights and the fertile lands of Kingsbridge.
