New York Giants vs. New England Patriots: Watch Live Stream Online, Preview, Prediction for Tom Brady’s Final 2012 Preseason Game
The New York Giants and New England Patriots are set to square off on Wednesday night in what will be each team's final NFL preseason game of 2012.
The contest is set to get underway at 7 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium. The game will be broadcast nationally on the NFL Network. If you can't get to a TV, you can watch a live stream online by clicking here.
It's a rematch of last year's Super Bowl. The Giants beat the Patriots in the title game for the second time in five seasons.
New York's starters aren't expected to play much, while some of them may not play at all. Quarterback Eli Manning didn't play in the Giants last exhibition game of 2011. Starting running back Ahmad Bradshaw isn't expected to be active.
Several of the Giants starters are banged up and will watch from the sidelines. Linebackers Michael Boley and Mathias Kiwanuka, and offensive tackle Will Beatty won't play. Defensive tackle and tight end Travis Beckham will miss this contest, as well as the first six games of the season after being placed on the PUP list.
One star that is expected to play is Hakeem Nicks. The wide receiver will suit up for the first time this preseason. He broke a bone in his foot in March.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady might also be sidelined in the contest. He's gotten plenty of reps this preseason. Last week, he went 13-20 for 127 yards and a touchdown in three quarters against the Buccaneers.
New England has a lot of running backs that are competing for playing time. Steven Ridley locked up the starting role with a 16-carry, 87-yard performance against Tampa Bay. Danny Woodhead, Shane Vereen and Jeff Demps will all see time against New York.
Prediction: Don't expect to see a lot of starters, but the Patriots first-string might get some more playing time. That might be enough to give them the edge over the Giants.
Predicted Score: New England 20, New York 17
