New York Knicks' Iman Shumpert Forced To Remove Adidas Logo From Hair [PHOTO]
While his intentions may have been great for his sponsor, New York Knicks forward Iman Shumpert was forced by the National Basketball Association to remove the Adidas logo he had recently shaved into the back of his head.
The NBA ruled that he was in violation of the association’s rule book, which states: “The only article bearing a commercial ‘logo’ which can be worn by players is their shoes.”
Now, the basketball player has a rather sizable triangle on the back of his head, after shaving and removing the sports apparel company’s logo.
On Saturday, Shumpert posted a side-by-side photo of the back of his head on Instagram, commenting, “#banned…srry @nba didn’t realize there were branding issues wit da logo @iPUToN.”
So much for creative product placement, eh?
