New York's Interracial Couples Force White Supremacist To Abandon Killing Spree

An alleged white supremacist who dreamed of starting a race war admitted defeat and surrendered to police after seeing how common interracial relationships were in Manhattan.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) believe that James Jackson, aged 30, a military veteran who served in Afghanistan, traveled to New York by bus on March 17, 2017, from Maryland before killing Timothy Vaughan, a 66-year-old homeless black man, as he sifted through rubbish on West 36th Street near 9th Avenue three days later.

Jackson used a 26-inch mini sword to repeatedly stab Caughman, who described himself on Twitter as a "can and bottle recycler."

After stabbing Caughman multiple times, Jackson, still armed with two knives, stalked as many as 15 people and was particularly interested in targeting a black man with a white woman, he recalled in the videotaped interview played Tuesday at a pretrial hearing Manhattan Supreme Court.

According to the New York Post, Jackson was obsessed with race mixing, which he called “the main crux” of his white supremacist beliefs. He picked New York because it's the media capital of the world and he wanted to make a statement

“It would be awesome if we could get the governments of the white countries together,” he said. “Get the ball rolling. Shake people out of their slumber.”

But when Jackson reached Times Square, he became discouraged after seeing so many mixed-race couples and surrendered at the nearby substation.

“It just seemed like I was seeing interracial couples everywhere. It was really demoralizing me,” he said. “This is the new way and we can’t restore what we had 50 years ago.”

Jackson also allegedly told officers that he had penned a racist manifesto outlining his controversial views on a computer he had in his possession.

In his shocking confession, Jackson told investigators that he was on a mission to purge the Earth of black people. “I think we should just preserve the best people and get rid of all the dead weight. In my opinion, blacks are inferior people,” he said.
