Next Mike Tyson KO's His Way To Stardom

An American heavyweight boxer viewed as the next Mike Tyson could be on his way to stardom.

Ever since Tyson retired from boxing, the world hasn’t seen a fighter who could really fill his shoes. Aside from being the youngest heavyweight champion in history, Tyson cemented his name in boxing Hall of Fame by brutally knocking out his opponents. But as the new generation of boxers emerges, an heir apparent to Tyson could be on his way to boxing supremacy.

James Wilson is an American heavyweight boxer who has been making his case as the next “Iron Mike.” Wilson already boasts seven wins and only one defeat in his eight fights since turning professional in 2017. Six of his seven wins came by way of knockout drawing the last against Miguel Cubos in March 2019.

After consecutive impressive wins, Wilson was chosen to be the subject of Boxing King Media’s YouTube series “Boxing Kings.” The series included training clips of Wilson, showing how he dodges punches at unbelievable speed. Just like Tyson, Wilson dodges from side-to-side as flurry of punches come at him.

Another clip displays the 33-year-old’s raw power, using upper-cuts to force his trainer back. Wilson then crouches low before launching into side punches just as how Tyson did in most of his fights.

Tyson himself was also included in Wilson’s documentary. In fact, the 53-year-old legend showed Wilson some boxing tricks which evidently blew the rising star away.

Speaking over the footage, the documentary host emphasized that “since the retirement of Tyson, no heavyweight has brought the same movement, speed, explosiveness, ferociousness and knockout power. Until now, cue the arrival of the 240-pound 6-foot heavyweight, James ‘The Beast’ Wilson.”

Since being published in October, the documentary has already reached nearly 700,000 hits on YouTube.

Another heavyweight sensation was recently compared to “The Baddest Man on the Planet.” U.S.-based Nigerian boxer Onoriode “Godzilla” Ehwarieme is being dubbed by his fans as the new Tyson. With 17 wins, 16 coming by way of knockout, it made it easy for his fans to compare him to Tyson.

In his latest KO win, the 32-year-old rising star crushed Bracamonte in one round. After securing his first title, Ehwarieme is now looking forward to a bigger challenge in his career. Shortly after the victory against Ariel Esteban Bracamonte, the Nigerian boxer stated that his ambition was to contest for a world title in the United States or in any other country soon.
