Nexus 6 Price Slashed To $350 On Amazon As Google Nexus 2015 Release Date Draws Near
The Google Nexus 6, which was launched in 2014 with a price tag of $649, is now available for $350. The reason behind offering such a huge discount on the Nexus 6 is that the search engine giant is expected to launch next generation Google Nexus 2015 smartphones by the end of this month.
Amazon is now selling the Motorola Nexus 6 for $350. Since the past few months, the price of the Nexus 6 has been falling steadily. In June, Google Store, Motorola, Amazon and Best Buy had dropped the price of the Nexus 6 by $150 for both its 32 GB and 64 GB models.
The 32 GB and 64 GB models are now available for $349 and $399, respectively on Amazon. It is offering the handset in both color options of Midnight Blue and White Cloud. The online retail giant has not mentioned the expiry date for the new discount offer.
The Nexus 6 features a Quad HD resolution screen of 5.96 inches. It is powered by the Snapdragon 805 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. It also features 13-megapixel OIS camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera and a 3220 mAh battery.
ZD Net has reported that the new price cuts on the Nexus 6 models indicate that the arrival of the next generation Nexus smartphones is imminent. Rumors have it that Google will unveil two Nexus smartphones namely, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) and the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) on Sept. 29, CNET reported.
The LG Nexus 5 (2015) is expected to launch with the LG Nexus 5X moniker, and it will be coming with 5.2-inch full HD screen, Snapdragon 808 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. It is expected to cost about $350 to $450.
The Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) is going to house a larger 5.7-inch Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. It is going to be priced between $450 and $500.
