Much is made about parity in the NFL, but the latest betting odds suggest that the league isn’t as wide open as some might think. Six of the eight divisions have clear, odds-on favorites with just three weeks remaining until the start of the 2019 season.

The New England Patriots are easily the most overwhelming favorite to be a division winner. The defending champions have -500 betting odds to finish atop the AFC East, via Bovada. New England has won the division for a remarkable 10 consecutive years.

The New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams both have -180 odds to win their respective divisions. The Saints have won back-to-back NFC South titles, following up 2017’s 11-win campaign with a 13-3 record in 2018. The Rams have done the exact same in the NFC West, winning consecutive division championships with an 11-win and a 13-win season.

The Kansas City Chiefs are next with -150 odds to successfully defend their AFC West title. Andy Reid has led the Chiefs to three straight first-place finishes, and Kansas City has never posted a losing record in six years under the head coach. Reigning NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes took the Chiefs to overtime of the 2019 AFC Championship Game.

The Philadelphia Eagles are barely odds-on favorites in their division with -110 odds. They are ahead of the Dallas Cowboys, who have +140 odds after winning the NFC East in 2018. Philadelphia reached the divisional playoffs last season in the year following their Super Bowl run.

The Indianapolis Colts have -110 odds to win the AFC South. The Colts are coming off a season in which they finished a game behind the Houston Texans, who have won the division in three of the last four years. Indianapolis beat Houston on 2019 Wild-Card Weekend and is considered to be among the Super Bowl LIV favorites.

The Cleveland Browns are favored in the AFC North with +120 odds. Three teams in the division have better than 3/1 odds.

The Chicago Bears are favored to repeat as NFC North champions, but only with +160 odds. The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings both have better than +250 odds to win the division.
