Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season could feature a few high-scoring affairs in primetime. The New England Patriots might be in danger of suffering their first loss of the season on “Sunday Night Football” when they visit the Baltimore Ravens. Expect the Dallas Cowboys to put up a ton of points Monday Night against the New York Giants.

Below are the five best over/under picks in Week 9 with the latest betting odds at Las Vegas and online sportsbooks. Game totals are courtesy of OddsShark.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Under 42.5

Pittsburgh’s offense is not very good with Mason Rudolph at quarterback. The Steelers’ season-high of 27 points came against the NFL’s two winless teams. Rudolph hasn’t thrown for more than 251 yards in a game, and James Conner is dealing with an injury. The Colts have held two of their last three opponents to exactly 13 points. Indianapolis also failed to reach the 20-point mark in both of those games, and they rank just 22nd in yards per play. Pittsburgh is seventh in opponents’ yards per play.

New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins Under 42.5

Miami’s season-high is 21 points. The Dolphins have been held to 10 points or fewer in four of seven games. New York’s defense, which ranks 10th in opponents’ yards per play, isn’t the problem for the Jets. Even with Sam Darnold back, Gang Green is having a ton of trouble moving the ball. New York is scoring 13.8 points per game with the first-round pick under center. No Jets’ game has featured more than 46 total points. Four of the last five Dolphins’ games have featured 41 total points or fewer.

Tennessee Titans vs. Carolina Panthers Over 42

Neither of these two defenses is playing as well as they did to start the season. After holding their first six opponents to 20 points or fewer, Tennessee has surrendered 43 total points in the last two games, and it could have easily been more. Carolina has given up at least 26 points in three straight games. The Titans’ offense has looked better with Ryan Tannehill replacing Marcus Mariota. Austin Ekeler had seven catches for 118 yards against Tennessee two weeks ago. Christian McCaffrey could put up similar numbers.

New England Patriots vs. Baltimore Ravens Over 44.5

New England’s defense faces its first real challenge of the season. The Patriots have put up historic numbers, facing teams that rank no better than 19th in total offense. The Ravens are second in total offense and fifth in yards per play. Baltimore has scored at least 23 points in every game. Lamar Jackson can use his legs to beat a defense that has an elite secondary. The Ravens are 29th in opponents’ yards per play.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Over 48

Look no further than the Week 1 matchup between these two NFC East rivals. Dak Prescott had a perfect passer rating as Dallas scored 35 points. The Cowboys have scored more than 30 points in four of their five games against teams that don’t have a winning record. Amari Cooper, Tyron Smith and La’el Collins were banged up during Dallas’ three-game losing streak, but all three players are healthy now. The Giants are 28th in total defense. New York is averaging 21.1 points per game with Daniel Jones as the starting quarterback.
