NFL Injury News: Game-Time Decisions For Falcons' Julio Jones, Cowboys' Sean Lee, Texans' DeAndre Hopkins, Rams' Todd Gurley And Others
Uncertainty has surrounded the status of several notable players in Week 16.
Perhaps the biggest news involves Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee. According to Jane Slater of the NFL Network, Lee is dealing with back issues and won’t be active, even though he is considered healthy enough to play. The Cowboys are at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Three elite receivers will see action Sunday.
Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is dealing with an ankle injury but will play. Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones is active, despite battling hip and rib issues. T.Y. Hilton (ankle) of the Indianapolis Colts is also active.
However, Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb is out with a concussion.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley's status remains unclear.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Gurley is expected to play unless he has a setback in pregame warmups. Schefter noted that the team believes Gurley's knee has felt better as the week has progressed.
The Rams face the Arizona Cardinals at 4 p.m. ET.
The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Kendall Fuller (thumb) is still a game-time decision, though the team is hopeful that he plays in the Sunday night matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.
