The Jacksonville Jaguars will soon heave a sigh of relief. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey is reportedly set to return to practice after weeks of uncertainty. He is set to rejoin the Jags after missing the team's last two games.

Ramsey's return comes after he saw a specialist in Houston. The Pro Bowler is dealing with a back injury but it appears everything has been ironed out. According to The Associated Press, Ramsey practiced in a limited capacity and took part in individual drills only. He remains questionable in Jacksonville's next game against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

"We're going to try to do more and just keep testing it and pushing it. He's working extremely hard to get back, and everyone's doing everything they can. ... We'll just take it step by step," said Jaguars coach Doug Marrone.

The 24-year-old missed the Jags Week 4 game against the Denver Broncos. This ended his streak of starting the first 51 regular NFL season games. This was also the time when he started missing practice.

Aside from the back injury, Ramsey suffered an undisclosed illness. When this cropped up, most felt that he was holding out on the Jaguars. Ramsey requested a trade stemming from an issue with the front office. He felt disrespected and this led to him calling his agent to seek a trade.

Looking ahead, it will be interesting if that trade request gains any ground. The Jaguars emphasized that they have no plans of trading the fifth pick of the 2016 NFL Draft. As far as Ramsey is concerned, that trade demand still stands.

It was mentioned in a previous report that the Jaguars thumbed down a trade offer for Ramsey. On the table were two first-round picks which Jacksonville thumbed down. The reason behind is because the Jags felt that this mystery team was already good. Also, this unnamed team will also be picking late in NFL Drafts for the next two years.

Once he is allowed to play, it will be interesting how Ramsey will perform. Some feel he could play half-heartedly or hold out to force the arm of the Jaguars. His return is a good sign although no assurance that he has changed his mind of leaving Jacksonville.
