Jalen Ramsey will have to wait a bit more following reports that the Jacksonville Jaguars have thumbed down an NFL trade that included two first-round picks. The identity of the team that made the offer was not mentioned although reports claim that this is a pretty good team.

According to CBS Sports, the Jaguars turned down the two first-round picks offered to them by the undisclosed team for the disgruntled Ramsey. It appears that the Jaguars did their background check on the NFL team and believed that they are a good team. Aside from that, they also reportedly believe that this team will also be picking late in the NFL draft for the next two years.

The botched NFL trade is the latest development on Jalen Ramsey. The two-time Pro Bowler has been showing signs of twisting the arm of the Jaguars, missing practices allegedly due to illness. In a previous report, the fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft cleared all that and said that he was truly ill. He also reiterated that he wants out, adding that he will continue to be the top cornerback in the NFL and that money is not everything.

Ramsey’s trade demands is something that has left the Jaguars divided. Team owner Shad Khan wants to keep the 21-year-old cornerback while Tom Coughlin is ready to move on without him. Critics believe that this stage could have been avoided had both sides addressed earlier on. Now, there is no question that the only way to resolve the problem is to get assets at least of better value for the Jags.

"It will get worse and there will be something new with him every week. He doesn't see a future there (in Jacksonville), and he's already shown he's willing to rock the boat to get out. At some point it becomes more trouble than it's worth" said a high-ranking official from another ballclub in a separate report from CBS Sports.

One NFL team reportedly in hot pursuit of Ramsey is the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly has been hit by the injury bug which makes the First-team All-Pro a logical fit. Adding Ramsey will also boost their lack of coverage as they ramp up their NFL playoff aspirations.
