NFL Playoff Picks Against The Spread 2019: Predictions ATS For Divisional Games, Latest Betting Odds
Betting the underdogs was the right play on Wild-Card Weekend as three favorites lost straight up and none covered the spread. The home teams should have more success in the divisional round, but they could have trouble covering some big lines.
Below are picks against the spread for every game in the 2019 NFL divisional playoffs, as well as updated betting odds at Las Vegas and online sportsbooks. Betting lines and trends are courtesy of OddsShark.
Indianapolis Colts (+5.5) at Kansas City Chiefs
The Colts are the NFL’s hottest team with 10 wins in their last 11 games. It isn’t simply Andrew Luck carrying the team as Indianapolis has boasted a top offense and defense over the last three months. Kansas City is difficult to beat at home, but their inability to stop anyone could make this a competitive, high-scoring affair. The Chiefs haven’t beaten a playoff team by more than five points since Week 1. Kansas City went 4-4 against the spread at home, and Indianapolis is 7-3-1 against the spread since Week 6.
Prediction ATS: Indianapolis
Dallas Cowboys (+7) at Los Angeles Rams
It’s difficult to lay a touchdown with the Rams, considering the Cowboys were the better team in the second half of the season. Dallas finished the regular season with a 7-1 record and three wins over playoff teams. Los Angeles lost three games after Week 8, and they were beaten by at least a touchdown in their last two contests with postseason teams. The Cowboys’ defense gives them a real shot to pull off the upset in L.A. Dallas is 4-2 against the spread in their last six road games.
Prediction ATS: Dallas
Los Angeles Chargers (+4) at New England Patriots
The betting line should probably be a field goal since the Chargers might be the better overall team. Los Angeles won more games than New England in the regular season, and they finished ahead of the Patriots in both yards per play and yards per play allowed. No team has beaten Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at home this season, but if anyone can do it, it’s probably the Chargers. L.A. is 8-1 on the road, including the playoffs.
Prediction ATS: Los Angeles
Philadelphia Eagles (+8) at New Orleans Saints
Philadelphia’s run will probably end in New Orleans. Nick Foles threw two interceptions as the Eagles escaped Chicago with a victory, and the Saints have been utterly dominant at home. But how can you resist grabbing eight points with the defending Super Bowl champs? The team has gone 4-0 since Foles took over for Carson Wentz, and they continue to come up big when it matters most. New Orleans’ offense also slowed down at the end of the season, giving the Saints just one win by more than a field goal after Thanksgiving.
Prediction ATS: Philadelphia
