  • The Dallas Cowboys are praised to have a successful NFL Draft
  • Stephen Jones shared that the Cowboys are still looking to add more to their roster
  • Top free-agents that are available include Jadeveon Clowney and Morgan Burnett

The NFL draft just concluded and the Dallas Cowboys are praised to have one of the more successful offseasons in the league. But the front office of the Cowboys is not yet done, as stars such as Jadeveon Clowney and Morgan Burnett remain available for the team.

Recent development saw the Cowboys overtake the Philadelphia Eagles as the favorites for the NFC East division. The way Dallas was able to select the highly coveted CeeDee Lamb as the 17th overall pick is considered as one of the best selections of this year’s class. It is expected that Lamb would elevate the Cowboy’s offense with his natural athleticism and excellent awareness of routes.

With the Cowboys stacking up on future talent, they were able to add veteran players to the mix. One of these includes defensive line and former Pro-Bowler Ha’Sean “Ha Ha” Clinton-Dix who signed a one-year $4 million deal with $2.5 million guaranteed.

Other key signings of the Cowboys include longtime Los Angeles Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein. In addition to these, former Pro-Bowlers Gerald McCoy and nose tackle Dontari Poe join the team as a boost on the defensive tackle department.

The team is far from done when it comes to building their roster as several big names are still available for a deal. Top names that remain as free agents are Jadeveon Clowney defensive end and safety Morgan Burnett.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding Clowney and his future. The 27-year-old standout has been at the center of the reports on whether or not he will return to the Seattle Seahawks.

Any team could also benefit from the services of Burnett who has proven himself as a winner. The former second-team All-ACC has won a Super Bowl under his belt in 2010 with a stint with the Green Bay Packers.

Executive Vice President, CEO, and Director of Player Personnel Stephen Jones shared that the Cowboys have a bright future ahead.

“We’ve certainly got our eye on a few guys that we’ll look at. But the good news is that going into the draft, we felt good about our football team. Coming out of the draft, we feel great about our football team,” Jones said.

Whether or not the Cowboys come up with additional big names, they’ve certainly made adjustments moving forward.
