  • Gronkowski loves the freedom Arians is giving him in Tampa Bay
  • Gronkowski sees good things ahead for the Buccaneers

Rob Gronkowski has one year left in his contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but is already thinking about the next NFL season.

“Gronk” has already made up his mind and vows to return for another season, meaning the “Tommy and Gronky” show will remain at least for another season.

This should be a big sign of relief for the Bucs who need to address a lot of key players headed into free agency. Aside from Gronkowski, Antonio Brown, Leonard Fournette, Shaq Barrett, Lavonte David and Ndamukong Suh are set to become unrestricted free agents.

However, Tampa Bay has close to $30 million in cap space to use on those players, ESPN reported.

"I feel like this team was built to win right now. It was put together this year to win right now. It always pops up in your mind; you're thinking about the future a little bit -- I can definitely see this team also having a lot of talent come back and having another successful run next year, as well, with me," Gronkowski stated to Willie McGinest on NFL GameDay Morning.

The three-time Super Bowl champion addressed questions about his future even the Bucs still in the playoff hunt. He announced his plans before Tampa Bay’s wild-card win over the Washington Football Team.

Gronkowski did not have a single catch in that game but did his usual role of helping Tom Brady clean in the pocket.

The Bucs won over the New Orleans Saints in their most-recent matchup, 30-20, to advance to the NFC Championship, the Washington Post reported.

Brady and Gronkowski are also looking to break a record against the Saints. The duo is one touchdown away from setting the outright all-time playoff record for most passing touchdowns by a QB-pass catcher duo.

They are tied with Joe Montana and Jerry Rice with 12 postseason TDs.

The Saints swept Tampa Bay in the regular season 2-0. However, Gronkowski vows that this game will be a whole lot different.

The 31-year-old Tight End was also asked to comment on the difference between coaches Bruce Arians and Bill Belichick. While Gronkowski conceded that "both are great," he pointed out one thing that he loves most playing for the Bucs.

"They're both great coaches for sure. I love getting coached up, but one of the biggest things that I would just say is--the freedom! The freedom of just being yourself with the coaches," he stated.
