  • The Tennesee Titans recently signed veteran Johnathan Joseph
  • This has led to speculation that free agent Logan Ryan will not return to the Titans
  • One team that can benefit from Logan Ryan is the New York Jets

Several teams have been making adjustments in their offseason developments. This includes the veteran signing of Johnathan Joseph of the Tennessee Titans.

With the news of the Titans signing veteran Joseph, this brewed rumors that Ryan is no longer returning to his old squad. For the past few years, the Titans have had several seasons as an average team in the league. Ever since 2016, the Titans have consistently ended their campaign with a 9-7 clip.

While the Titans haven’t proven themselves yet as a dominant team in the league, there has been a steady improvement on their end. The 2019 campaign was a positive year with winning the AFC Divisional Playoffs match against the Baltimore Ravens, 28-12. Amidst losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championships, the Titans are looking forward to improving in the years to come.

The addition of Joseph gives the Titans more experience on and off the field. The two-time Pro-Bowler has proven himself to be a competitive defensive presence to any team. The former Second-team All-Pro has served as a consistent career with a total of 755 tackles.

With Joseph taking up a slot in the Titans’ roster, this gives an idea that Ryan will be headed to another team. One possible fit is the New York Jets as adding Ryan can be beneficial to their defense. Coming from a strong 2019 campaign, Ryan was able to tally a career-best of 113 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

The Jets did not qualify in the postseason in the 2019 campaign ending with a 7-9 record. Their performance in the recently concluded NFL draft did not also increase much in their betting odds. But with the addition of someone like Ryan can help add depth to the team with key players such as Pierre Desir and Brian Poole.

The two Super Bowl championships under Ryan’s belt prove that he knows what it takes to win in this league. The Jets are in a position to select the former First-team All-American to add a possible boost as a starting role.
