Another NFL superstar is about to be traded. The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly in discussions to trade Tyreek Hill and two teams have emerged as possible landing spots for the wide receiver.

The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are the finalists to trade for Hill, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. A deal is likely to be made by Friday.

Hill became available when Kansas City and the receiver were unable to come to terms on a contract extension. Whichever team trades for Hill is expected to sign him to a massive deal.

The expectation is that Hill’s opinion will factor into where the Chiefs trade him.

Kansas City is expected to receive a first-round draft pick and more assets in exchange for Hill. The framework of a deal could be similar to last week’s Davante Adams trade. The Las Vegas Raiders sent the No. 22 pick and the No. 53 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for Adams.

New York can put together a better offer in terms of picks in this year’s draft. The Jets own the No. 4 and the No. 10 overall picks in the first round. The Dolphins don’t pick until No. 29 in the first round.

Miami is closer than New York to being a contender. The Dolphins have posted a winning record in consecutive seasons. The Jets went 4-13 in 2021 and last finished above .500 in 2015.

With six straight Pro Bowl selections, Hill has established himself as one of the NFL’s best receivers. Hill set a career-high with 111 receptions last season. Over the last five seasons, Hill is averaging 80.5 receiving yards per game and 10 receiving touchdowns per year.

The Green Bay Packers have engaged in trade talks with Kansas City, according to NFL Network. The Packers are expected to acquire a receiver.

Hill has one year left on his contract worth more than $18 million.
