NFL Trade Rumors: Multiple Teams Interested In 49ers Third String Quarterback

With the NFL trade deadline fast approaching, several teams are still prowling the league for quarterbacks. One team that they are pestering is reportedly the streaking San Francisco 49ers. With three quarterbacks on the team, some have shown interest in third-string quarterback C.J. Beathard.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, sources reveal that the 49ers have been getting inquiries on Beathard. However, this does not necessarily mean that the 25-year-old is on the block. San Francisco seems keen on keeping three quarterbacks in the roster. Also, their asking price is something teams find stiff, NBC Sports reported.

Despite Falcons TE Austin Hooper being in the last year of his contract and team being pressed against cap, Atlanta will not trade its young TE by Tuesday’s deadline.
Source tells me the #49ers have been hearing offers in the sixth-round range for No. 3 QB C.J. Beathard. S.F. is not inclined to do that deal with the trade deadline coming up on Tuesday.

Beathard's name should make its round in the NFL trade rumor mill in the coming days. The NFL trade deadline is on Oct. 29 with several transactions expected to go down.
For those who may be unfamiliar with Beathard, he was the 49ers third overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. Ironically, it was also in 2017 where Shanahan and general manager John Lynch inherited the reigns of the team.
The former University of Iowa product started in 10 games in his first two NFL seasons. He replaced an ineffective Brian Hoyer in his rookie year and then again in his sophomore year when Jimmy Garropolo got injured (ACL). His starting role ended when Nick Mullens came into the picture.
This year, Mullen beat out Beathard for the backup quarterback opening. He has yet to play a single game this NFL season. Regardless, it appears that San Francisco will only agree to a trade if teams give in to their demands.
As for the 49ers, it appears their investment in Shanahan is finally paying off. After two seasons of uncertainty, San Francisco has been on course this NFL season. On offense, their running game has been a joy to watch. They are unstoppable on the ground with the 49ers able to run the ball on anyone, Yahoo Sports reported.
Aside from that, they are also getting the job done on the defensive end. Nick Bosa is anchoring the defensive line and the second overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft is proving to be a big difference.
The 49ers will face the Cardinals next on Oct. 31 with kick-off set at the State Farm Stadium. San Francisco is a favorite to prevail over Arizona.
