NFL Week 13 Picks Against The Spread 2018: Predictions ATS, Updated Odds For Every Game
Every NFL team is on the upcoming schedule, and the slate of games features a bunch of big betting lines. Six teams are favored by more than a touchdown, and there are three point spreads of 10 points or more.
Below are picks against the spread for every game in Week 13 of the 2018 NFL season, as well as updated betting odds at Las Vegas and online sportsbooks. Betting lines and trends are courtesy of OddsShark.
New Orleans Saints (-7.5) at Dallas Cowboys
You can’t bet against the Saints right now. They’ve covered the spread in nine straight games and have beaten five consecutive opponents by double digits.
Prediction ATS: New Orleans
Arizona Cardinals (+14) at Green Bay Packers
The Cardinals might be the NFL’s worst team. They even lost at home to the Raiders a few weeks ago. The Packers beat both the Dolphins and Bills by three scores at home, and Sunday should be another blowout.
Prediction ATS: Green Bay
Cleveland Browns (+6) at Houston Texans
The Browns have looked like a completely different team since Hue Jackson and Todd Haley were fired, especially on offense. Cleveland is averaging 28 points per game over the last three games, and they’ve got a chance to steal a win against a Houston team that’s taken advantage of a weak schedule.
Prediction ATS: Cleveland
Baltimore Ravens (+1) at Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore’s No.1 ranked defense hasn’t been as dominant on the road, having allowed both Cincinnati and Carolina to score at least 34 points. Lamar Jackson has struggled when he’s not running the ball, posting a 73.1 passer rating. The Ravens will have trouble keeping pace with the Falcons if Atlanta doesn’t turn the ball over in the red zone.
Prediction ATS: Atlanta
Carolina Panthers (-3.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Panthers have just one road win, and they needed to come back from a 17-point deficit to even get that victory. Tampa Bay’s high-powered offense has a chance to keep them in this one and stay within a field goal. Carolina is 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games.
Prediction ATS: Tampa Bay
Chicago Bears (-4.5) at New York Giants
It doesn’t matter if it’s Chase Daniel or Mitchell Trubisky under center for the Bears. Chicago’s defense will eat New York’s offensive line and Eli Manning alive, possibly scoring another defensive touchdown en route to a victory.
Prediction ATS: Chicago
Buffalo Bills (+5) at Miami Dolphins
Josh Allen still has to prove he can win a game with his arm on the road. The rookie still hasn’t thrown for 200 yards away from Buffalo, and that’s going to be a problem against a team that’s still in the playoff race. Miami is 4-1 against the spread in their last five home games.
Prediction ATS: Miami
Denver Broncos (-5) at Cincinnati Bengals
Maybe the Bengals will receive a spark on offense when Jeff Driskel replaces Andy Dalton under center. The backup threw for 155 yards and a touchdown when he came into last week’s game. The Broncos are not the same team on the road, where they’ve been blown out by the Ravens and Jets.
Prediction ATS: Cincinnati
Los Angeles Rams (-10) at Detroit Lions
Don’t be afraid to lay the points in this one. Detroit is 31st in opponents’ passer rating, and the Rams should light up the Lions’ defense like they have done to just about every team they’ve faced this season.
Prediction ATS: Los Angeles
Indianapolis Colts (-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville can’t seem to beat anyone these days. The Jaguars are on a seven-game losing streak, and teams who have lost at least seven straight games are 9-22-1 against the spread in their next game since 2016.
Prediction ATS: Indianapolis
Kansas City Chiefs (-15) at Oakland Raiders
You can’t lay more than two touchdowns on the road, even against this Oakland team. The Chiefs have just two victories by more than two scores, and the Raiders could have a chance for a backdoor cover, at the very least.
Prediction ATS: Oakland
New York Jets (+7.5) at Tennessee Titans
The Titans don’t score enough to justify a 7.5-point spread against the Jets. Tennessee has scored more than 20 points just three times, making it difficult to lay more than a touchdown against a team that isn’t competing to get the No.1 pick in next year’s draft.
Prediction ATS: New York
Minnesota Vikings (+5) at New England Patriots
New England has been absolutely dominant at home, going 5-0 at Gillette Stadium. Their only win by fewer than a touchdown came when they defeated the Chiefs. Minnesota is 0-2 on the road against teams that are above .500, losing by seven points to the Rams and losing to the Bears in a game that wasn’t as close as the 25-20 score indicated.
Prediction ATS: New England
San Francisco 49ers (+10) at Seattle Seahawks
Since Jimmy Garoppolo got injured, the 49ers are 1-7 with their only victory coming against the Raiders. Three of those losses have come by double digits, and it’s hard to believe the 49ers will be competitive in one of the most difficult venues for any road team.
Prediction ATS: Seattle
Los Angeles Chargers (+3.5) at Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh remains extremely difficult to beat at home. The loss of Melvin Gordon certainly won’t help the Chargers’ offense. As impressive as Los Angeles has been, they have gone 0-2 against teams that currently have at least seven wins, and they lost those games pretty handily.
Prediction ATS: Pittsburgh
Washington Redskins (+6.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were not very impressive in their Week 12 win over the Giants, and it’s probably a game they should’ve lost. Expect this to be a close, low-scoring divisional matchup. Philadelphia has scored more than 25 points just once this season.
Prediction ATS: Washington
Season Record: 81-89-6
