NFL Week 2 Teaser Picks 2021: Best Bets Include Cowboys, Broncos, Patriots
The Week 2 schedule features several potential options for a two-team, six-point teaser. Four betting favorites are laying between five and six points. A few teams with real upset potential are underdogs of three points or more on the road.
Here are teaser picks that include two underdogs and two favorites for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season.
Minnesota Vikings +10.5, Dallas Cowboys +9 (-120 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
Some sportsbooks list the Vikings as only 3.5-point underdogs in Arizona. The Cowboys opened as 2.5-point road underdogs against the Los Angeles Chargers. It wouldn’t be surprising to see both teams win straight up on the road, making this a very attractive teaser option.
The Cardinals simply won’t play as well as they did in their 25-point, Week 1 victory, which saw Chandler Jones record five sacks and Kyler Murray total five touchdowns. After narrowly defeating the combination of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Taylor Heinicke, the Chargers will have their hands full with Dak Prescott.
Even if the Vikings lose decisively, Kirk Cousins can get Minnesota to within 10 points in garbage time. The Cowboys have lost by double digits in just two of Prescott’s last 24 starts.
Denver Broncos PK, New England Patriots +0.5 (-120 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
It’s hard to see either Denver or New England losing Sunday. The Broncos are visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars, who looked like the NFL’s worst team in a Week 1 loss in Houston. New England will try to extend its winning streak over the New York Jets to 11 games.
It’s been a year since the Jaguars won their last NFL game. The Jets are likely headed for a second straight last-place finish. The Broncos and Patriots appear to be much improved this season after making notable offseason additions.
Trevor Lawrence had three interceptions in his NFL debut, and now he’ll be facing Denver’s elite pass defense. Zach Wilson was sacked six times as the Jets lost their best offensive lineman to an injury. Vic Fangio and Bill Belichick will make life difficult for the rookie quarterbacks.
