NFL Week 8 Picks Against The Spread 2022: Predictions ATS, Betting Odds
Some of the top quarterbacks of the last few years are betting underdogs on the Week 8 schedule. Tom Brady, Lamar Jackson, Matthew Stafford and Russell Wilson are all getting points, following disappointing starts to the 2022 NFL season.
Here are picks against the spread for every game in Week 8 and updated betting odds from FanDuel and DraftKings Sportsbook.
Baltimore Ravens (-1.5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay's offense has struggled all season, showing little evidence that it will improve anytime soon. Baltimore has blown a second-half lead of at least 10 points in each of its three losses. Tom Brady and the Bucs are unlikely to make such a comeback if they fall behind on "Thursday Night Football."
Prediction ATS: Baltimore
Denver Broncos (+3) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
It's hard to pick the Jaguars as favorites of at least a field goal, especially when they aren't playing at home. Jacksonville enters the game in London on a four-game losing streak.
Prediction ATS: Denver
Chicago Bears (+9.5) at Dallas Cowboys
Dallas' offensive struggles make it difficult for the team to beat anyone by double digits. The Cowboys haven't scored more than 25 points in any game this season. Chicago might've unlocked the offense by designing more runs for Justin Fields in the last two games.
Prediction ATS: Chicago
Las Vegas Raiders (-1.5) at New Orleans Saints
The Raiders' 2-4 record could easily be flipped, considering their four losses have come by a combined 14 points. Las Vegas is third in points per game. Only Detroit is giving up more points than New Orleans, which has lost five of its last six contests.
Prediction ATS: Las Vegas
Carolina Panthers (+4.5) at Atlanta Falcons
Prior to upsetting Tampa Bay in Week 7, Carolina lost three straight games by double digits. Panthers quarterback PJ Walker has four passing touchdowns and eight interceptions in his career. Carolina has lost six straight road games.
Prediction ATS: Atlanta
Pittsburgh Steelers (+10.5) at Philadelphia Eagles
Even though they haven't lost, the Eagles have not been able to successfully bury teams in the second half of recent games. Arizona tied Philadelphia in the fourth quarter of their Week 5 matchup. Dallas pulled to within a field goal of Philadelphia in Week 6. Maybe Pittsburgh can hang around longer than some might expect.
Prediction ATS: Pittsburgh
Miami Dolphins (-3.5) at Detroit Lions
The Dolphins are 4-0 when Tua Tagovailoa starts and finishes a game. The Lions have the worst record in football, giving up more points per game than any other team. Detroit has gone two straight games without scoring a touchdown.
Prediction ATS: Miami
Arizona Cardinals (+3.5) at Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings haven't lost as favorites this season, and that shouldn't change in Week 8. Arizona is 0-4 against teams that are .500 or better. The Cardinals were fortunate to return a pair of interceptions for touchdowns in last week's victory.
Prediction ATS: Minnesota
New England Patriots (-1.5) at New York Jets
The Jets have earned the right to be favored against the Patriots, which enter Week 8 with a losing record and a controversy at quarterback. New York has given up 14 points per game during its four-game winning streak.
Prediction ATS: New York
Tennessee Titans (-2.5) at Houston Texans
The Titans could start to pull away with the AFC South title. Houston has just one victory, and it came against the two-win Jaguars. Derrick Henry could have a big day against the Texans' last-ranked rushing defense.
Prediction ATS: Tennessee
New York Giants (+3) at Seattle Seahawks
Oddsmakers keep making the Giants underdogs, and New York continues to win outright. Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley have combined to give the Giants the league's No. 2 rushing offense. New York still hasn't given up more than 23 points in any game.
Prediction ATS: New York
Washington Commanders (+3) at Indianapolis Colts
It's hard to know what to expect from Indianapolis in Sam Ehlinger's first start. Washington is giving up an average of 16.3 points in the last three games.
Prediction ATS: Washington
San Francisco 49ers (-1.5) at Los Angeles Rams
The 49ers did beat the Rams soundly earlier this season, but Los Angeles probably shouldn't be an underdog at home coming off a bye. San Francisco is only 2-3 this season in Jimmy Garoppolo's starts.
Prediction ATS: Los Angeles
Green Bay Packers (+10.5) at Buffalo Bills
There might only be a handful of teams that can compete with the Bills, and the Packers aren't one of them. Buffalo has outscored its six opponents by 95 points. Green Bay is averaging 18.3 points per game compared to Buffalo's 29.3 points per contest.
Prediction ATS: Buffalo
Cincinnati Bengals (-3) at Cleveland Browns
The gap at quarterback might be too much for Cleveland to overcome. Joe Burrow has 13 touchdown passes and one interception in the last five games, averaging 312 passing yards per game. Jacoby Brissett has two passing touchdowns and four interceptions during the Browns' four-game losing streak.
Prediction ATS: Cincinnati
Season Record: 50-56-2
