Nick Jonas Surprises 'White Lotus' Star Haley Lu Richardson Via FaceTime; Watch Her Reaction
"The White Lotus" star Haley Lu Richardson, who has been a huge fan of Nick Jonas since she was young, got a wonderful surprise when the singer talked to her via FaceTime Wednesday.
The 27-year-old actress appeared on "The Late, Late Show With James Corden," where she was shown a throwback photo of her meeting the Jonas Brothers — Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas — after a concert.
Richardson recalled that the photo was taken after she waited in line for hours. She even mentioned making a tie especially for Nick, as he used to wear them a lot during his teenage years.
Corden then reached for his phone, which he said had been vibrating. Apparently, someone had been trying to reach him, and he needed to call him back. While making the call, the host revealed that the other person on the line was Nick.
This made Richardson so thrilled. At some point, she even covered her face with her hands, as she couldn't contain her excitement.
The actress initially couldn't believe it and thought it may just be a pre-recorded message from the singer. But Nick assured her that it was actually a video call. He also mentioned that he had seen "The White Lotus" on HBO, which came as a shock to the actress.
Corden chimed in to tell Nick about the actress standing in line for three hours to meet him. The host also shared that Richardson made a tie for the singer but security didn't allow her to get in.
"Nick, can I tell you something? I just wanted to tell you that you're a huge part of my childhood and therefore life forever," Richardson told Nick during the call. "All of my Converse, as I said earlier that I had in grade school and middle school, had your name on them."
"And I'm so proud of you," she added. "And going to your guys' concerts now as adults, I feel so proud of the three of you and I'm so happy for your lives and your creative endeavors and your families, and I love you!"
Nick, who was moved by Richardson's words, said he would make sure the tie gets to him when she attends his concert in the near future.
The sweet fangirl moment went on for nearly three minutes. After the call ended, the actress thanked Corden for the conversation.
Richardson will be next seen in the movie "The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight," which is directed by Vanessa Caswill.
Nick, on the other hand, will be featured in the film "Jersey Boys Live!" which is helmed by director Des McAnuff.
