Nick Rose, Ethernity Founder, Accelerates the NFT Industry Through Social Good
NFT’s are digital assets. They can be jpegs of pixelated characters but they can also include any online asset, such as art, collectibles and even memes. Each NFT (non-fungible token) is represented by code on a public online ledger called the blockchain, which tracks each time an NFT is bought and sold. First and foremost, NFT investors see long-term value in the assets and the tech. As with any investment, they hope their NFTs will appreciate over time. But beyond that, owning NFTs offers a form of social currency. There’s value in the social status and acceptance from the crypto community that comes with owning a respected NFT, just like a Rolex or a Lamborghini in real life.
Accelerating the adoption of NFT’s is Ethernity (IG: @Ethernity; Twitter: @EthernityChain), a community-oriented platform that produces limited edition, authenticated NFTs (aNFTs) and trading cards created by your favorite artists and endorsed by notable figures. Built on the Ethereum Network, it aims to build the biggest aNFT library, reward its creators and raise funds for charitable causes forever. Its unique DEFI applications allow ERN token holders to farm Stones, which can be used to redeem rare aNFTs and vote on proposals that will amend the Ethernity ecosystem.
Founded by long-standing cryptocurrency investor Nick Rose Ntertsas, Ethernity differentiates itself with its dedication to sharing and exploring digital art through licensed and authenticated IP, and the opportunity they provide for philanthropy and social good. Through working closely with leading figures from the blockchain, music, and entertainment worlds, Ethernity aims to mainstream NFT-based digital art while supporting charitable causes that will help those in need. It’s a win-win situation in which everyone benefits, from NFT collectors to charities that work with some of the most vulnerable parts of society and the environment.
To give some background on Nick Rose Ntertsas, in addition to his role as the founder and CEO at Ethernity, he is also a philanthropist and environmentalist. He alerted the world to the fires that burned in the Amazon in 2019 via a social media post that went viral. He started an organization, Oxygen Seven to promote reforestation. They have plans to plant one million trees in California. He was also an early investor in Bitcoin. In 2011, after being advised during a conversation at a poker game in Las Vegas, he invested a small amount of money. He promptly forgot about them until widespread media coverage and the meteoric rise on the price in 2014. He started his first friends and family trading fund focused in Cryptocurrencies in 2016 called 10X Capital. He is now a seed/early-stage investor in tech and Blockchain related projects.
