Nick Young Responds To Rumors Iggy Azalea, French Montana Are Dating; Is He Happy For Them?

Iggy Azalea has moved on from her failed engagement to Nick Young and her former beau is thrilled.

TMZ caught up with the shooting guard in Los Angeles on Wednesday to discuss the budding romance between his former fiancée and rapper French Montana. Young, 31, told the publication he wasn’t hurt by how quickly Azalea had moved on. In fact, he has high hopes that the relationship will lead to a long and happy future for Azalea and her new man.

Young added that there were no hard feelings between he and French Montana, saying that he planned to “buy his album” to show support. “I’m happy. I wish they’d get married,” he said.

Azalea, 26, and French Montana were seen sharing a smooch on a yacht in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Aug. 30. They also posed together in a number of Snapchat posts in the days leading up to their public sighting. Baller Alert was able to obtain copies of the clips, in which the “Moses” rapper jokes about using his rumored girlfriend’s butt as a pillow.

Dating rumors began swirling in July after People reported that Azalea and French Montana had been flirting during a Las Vegas outing. Sources confirmed that the two were very “flirtatious.” It remained unclear, however, whether they were officially together or not. The news came just one month after Azalea announced that she and Young had decided to call off their engagement.

At the time, fans had been buzzing about a potential breakup between the two stemming from infidelity. Young was believed to have impregnated a former girlfriend, with whom he already shares a 4-year-old son. Azalea addressed those rumors, assuring Twitter followers that she was not told by Young that his ex was expecting.

“This is just like a second shot to the chest,” she wrote. “And I feel like I don’t even know who the hell it is I’ve been loving all this time.”

Azalea went public about her split from Young on Instagram. She told followers it was a difficult decision, but assured them it was the right one for her. At the time, Azalea and Young had been dating since 2013.
