Nicki Minaj-Meek Mill Update: Is ‘Anaconda’ Singer Getting Married In 2016? Rumors Surface Amid Mill’s Parole Violation

Nicki Minaj wants to get married to her boyfriend Meek Mill in 2016, Hollywood Life reported late Thursday. The report comes just a day after the “Anaconda” singer sparked engagement rumors after posting a photo of a huge diamond ring gifted by Mill for her 33rd birthday Tuesday.

“Nicki is giving Meek a huge hint with the diamond ring and wants him to pop the question this year. She wants to be married in 2016 but she isn’t engaged yet!” a source told Hollywood Life. “He is well aware of the hints and will be getting the job done soon.”

The report comes even as Mill is embroiled in legal troubles because he violated parole for a 2009 drug and gun case by changing his travel schedule without court’s permission. On Thursday, Minaj testified on behalf of Mill and told a federal judge in Philadelphia that she will help him follow parole rules so he could avoid a jail term. However, during her testimony, when Mill’s lawyer told the judge that his client was serious about getting married to Minaj, she remained mum.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Minaj responded to her engagement rumors during an interview with Billboard.

"He and I are not engaged," Minaj said, explaining, "He said he would like to give me three rings before we get married.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen with he and I," she continued. "I just know right now we are really, really enjoying each other’s company."

The couple first sparked engagement rumors in April after Minaj posted a picture of a diamond ring on Instagram. She didn’t caption the photo but used a bunch of emojis. In September, Minaj was again spotted flashing a heart-shaped diamond ring on her wedding finger while running errands in Beverly Hills.

In August, Minaj, who recently received three Grammy nominations, sparked pregnancy rumors during her concert at the First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, where she addressed Mill as "my baby father."

Mill and Minaj also sparked breakup rumors after reports surfaced that the latter was going to dump her boyfriend because of his beef with Drake. However, Minaj slammed all rumors by posting several PDA-filled photos with Mill, and their relationship has been going strong despite occasional turbulences.
