Nicki Minaj’s Ex-Boyfriend Getting Suicidal? Singer Slams Safaree Samuels In ‘Love Triangle’ Music Video

Nicki Minaj’s former boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, is still depressed following a split with the “Anaconda” hitmaker and has openly talked about suicide, TMZ reported citing a source. However, in a latest music video obtained by the celebrity news website, Minaj accused Samuels of cheating and said she was heartbroken.

In the new music video, “Love Triangle,” Minaj, who recently sparked rumors about dating Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill, reportedly claimed that she had been missing Samuels after their breakup. Samuels reportedly told his friends that he is an emotional wreck after his 12-year-long relationship with Minaj came to an end last month. His friends have reportedly urged him to seek help and find a new therapist to bounce back from his current situation. A source also reportedly said that Samuels has been spending most of his time alone after hearing Minaj is dating Mill.

“He's become a shut-in, spends days and nights smoking ... and has talked openly about suicide,” TMZ reported. “Safaree is telling friends he won't get in touch with Nicki because she's now hooked up with Meek Mill. He says it's torture for him, because he believes Meek Mill destroyed his relationship with Nicki over false claims he cheated.”

Meanwhile, Minaj has denied claims that she is dating Mill, with whom she collaborated for the track, “Big Daddy.”

“Let me clear this up: I am single,” Minaj said while speaking to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” on Tuesday. “People are just assuming these things and I don’t know why. This is my friend. I’m just hanging out. We don’t look at each other like that at all.”

Minaj also reportedly spoke in an interview, which was released Wednesday, with radio personality Angie Martinez about her recent split with Samuels.

“This is somebody I grew up with,” Minaj reportedly said. “Like, I don’t even know how I’m going to function without that person in my life. I never lived my life as a famous person without him. I don’t think people realize it’s not just a breakup, that was a humongous part of my life.”
