Nicole Houde, Miss New Hampshire 2010, Arrested For Biting, Scratching Boyfriend
Nicole Houde, a former Miss USA contestant as Miss New Hampshire in 2010, was arrested on Wednesday for attacking her boyfriend.
According to police, 26-year-old Houde was in a fight with her boyfriend, 33-year-old Scott Nickerson, when the argument turned into an attack on Nickerson. Houde ended up biting, punching, kicking and scratching Nickerson, according to CBS Boston.
Houde was arrested on the charge of simple assault, according to the Manchester Police Department, on Wednesday.
The argument between Houde and Nickerson reportedly began over an affair with another man, CBS news reported. Nickerson took away Houde's cell phone, prompting her to attack him.
Nicole Houde was crowned Miss New Hampshire in 2010 and later competed in the Miss USA pageant, owned by Donald Trump. Lately, Houde has been working as a personal trainer, make-up artist and pageant coach.
I learned so much from my experience and I enjoyed doing everything that I did so why not expand that into my career and do what I love?! Houde wrote on her personal website. I look forward to helping others better themselves and reach for their goals because a lot of times life gets in the way, we get distracted and just need a little extra boost and help to get things on the right track.
Houde is not the only former Miss America contestant in 2010 to have a brush with the law. Earlier this month, 26-year-old Miss USA winner Rima Fakih pleaded no contest to a DUI from December.
