A bookstore employee named Mikado can see creepy things with strange clarity and his life is about to change when he teams up with an exorcist in "The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window" anime, which will premiere in the fall anime season.

Mikado bumps into a man named Hiyakawa who is an exorcist. Hiyakawa feels it is fate that they have met each other. Based on a manga of the same name from creator Yamashita Tomoko, the anime shows how Mikado and Hiyakawa join forces to solve supernatural cases.

The official promo trailer of "The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window" opens with Mikado seeing a spirit inside the bookstore. The next shot introduces Hiyakawa who is meeting Mikado for the first time.

Hiyakawa feels meeting someone with this uncanny quirk is not chance but fate. This unusual pair is set to solve some creepy cases.

"Bookstore employee Mikado always had a tendency to see creepy things. He had lived his life pretending he didn't see these things but then he has a fateful encounter with an exorcist named Hiyakawa. Mikado ends up being forced to help out with exorcism duties and has to deal with the embarrassing fact that exorcising these things with Hiyakawa somehow feels really good. While getting dragged into dealing with these cases every day, they run into a cold-blooded murder case. Enjoy a new kind of horror mystery created by total opposites," read the official series synopsis, according to Crunchyroll.

"The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window" anime is directed by Yoshitaka Yasuda and Daiji Iwanaga is the chief director. Ayumi Sekine is taking care of the series composition. The music of the series is composed by Evan Call.

The opening theme, titled "Saika," is performed by Frederic and the ending theme, titled "Breakers," is performed by Wataru Hatano.

The cast of "The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window" anime includes Wataru Hatano as Rihito Hiyakawa, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Kōsuke Mikado, Sōma Saitō as Keita Mukae, Satoshi Mikami as Hiroki Hanzawa, Junichi Suwabe as Kazuomi Sakaki, and Chika Anzai as Erika Hiura.
