Nikki Bella Reveals Brain Cyst Caused Early WWE Retirement

Nikki Bella finally admitted the real reason she retired from the WWE. During her appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" last Wednesday, the WWE Diva revealed she has a cyst on her brain.
Fallon hosted both Brie and Nikki Bella on the late-night show June 19. Towards the end of the interview, Fallon admits he hadn't spoken to the twins since they retired from the WWE back in March and checks in with the duo. "That must have been tough for your guys," he said.
Both Nikki and Brie agree that the decision was difficult but for different reasons. While retirement was a choice for Brie, it wasn't the same for Nikki who had no say in the matter.
"For me, I really wanted to go back and fight for the tag titles and, you know, I’ve always had my neck issues and after neck surgery, like it hasn’t been ok," Nikki explained to Fallon. "So I feel like I needed to get that checkup before we went back for the tag titles."
"Then it came back... I herniated the disk above where I had surgery, I have all this inflammation around the metal and then I have a cyst on my brain," the 35-year old revealed. "So they were like 'You're done, no more, you're out.' So I didn't get a choice."
TMZ Sports caught up with the WWE superstar last Thursday after her time on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." Nikki admitted to the media outlet that while going through the process was "super scary" she is "grateful that [the cyst is] benign."
Despite the news, the WWE veteran is still keeping busy. Nikki, together with Brie, has multiple businesses including a wine collaboration (Belle Radici), a clothing label (BirdieBee) and a body and beauty line (Nicole + Brizee).
The Bella Twins also recently started a podcast titled, "The Bellas Podcast," and will continue to share their lives with viewers on their E! reality show, "Total Bellas."
