Is Nikki Bella Rushing To Marry John Cena? ‘Total Divas’ Star Teases Wedding Details
While attending the iHeartRadio Much Music Awards, Nikki Bella joked that she may need to speed up her wedding planning before her husband-to-be, John Cena, has a change of heart.
While speaking to E! News, the “Total Divas” star revealed that she is still in the “beginning stages” of planning her big day. However, she teased that it may be time for her to accelerate the process.

“I can’t wait too long, he might run off!” she told the media outlet. “I gotta lock him in, you know,” she joked.
Bella recently expressed just how much she loves her fiancé in a heartfelt Instagram post on Sunday. The “Total Bellas” star shared a photo she took of Cena from behind as he focused on something in front of him.
The WWE star revealed she was missing the man in her life and explained why she cares about him so much. “He’s the man I turn to when I need advice or just a hug. He makes this world for me such a better place, even when he's miles away,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
The star told E! News that despite their very public lives, she doesn’t want an over the top wedding. “I think we’re just going to keep it super intimate and just family and friends,” she said.
In May, Bella told People that she hasn’t made any major decisions about her big day just yet. “I’ve looked at wedding planners, but that’s it,” she explained.
“We haven’t set a date. We haven’t picked a dress. I haven’t done any of that,” the wrestler told the publication.
Although she has an urge to speed up the wedding planning, Bella wants to enjoy her special day. “I want the day we get married to be special, not like it’s another appearance,” she stated.
“I don’t want it to be like, ‘We only have two days to do this.’ I want to enjoy it. I want to enjoy it in the weeks going into it, and also the weeks after,” she explained.
Although her wedding process has been slow, Bella has a good reason behind the delay. A lot has been going on in her life since she got engaged to Cena at WrestleMania 33, most recently welcoming her niece into the family.
Bella’s twins sister Brie, gave birth to her first child with Bryan Danielson on May 9, a girl named Birdie Joe. Shortly following her niece’s birth, Nikki shared a sweet photo of herself and the newborn holding hands.
“Oh my sweet little Birdie. From the moment I first saw you I knew it was unconditional love. I promise to protect and love you forever and ever,” she captioned the Instagram picture.

“And my Brizee, you are the strongest, bravest person I know. So happy God made us twins. Don't know this world without you. And wouldn’t ever want to. Goodness I love you both so much,” she added.
Although she still seems to have plenty on her plate, Bella seems more motivated than ever to kick her wedding planning into full gear so she can walk down the aisle with her long time love.
