Nina Dobrev, Glen Powell ‘Taking Time Apart’ But Have Not ‘Officially Split’
Nina Dobrev and her boyfriend, Glen Powell, are reportedly “taking time apart” due to their busy schedules.
A source told E! News that Dobrev and Powell have not officially ended things. However, they are just more focused on their work. “Nina just wrapped on a project and is about to start another and her schedule has been a huge part of it. They haven’t been spending much time together since the end of the summer,” the source said.
Another source clarified that Dobrev and Powell have not been fighting. After all, Powell is quite “easy going.” “They are still seeing each other, but have cooled things off a little because of busy schedules,” the source said.
Fans of “The Vampire Diaries” alum and Powell initially thought that the two have broken up after Powell unfollowed and then refollowed Dobrev on social media. The two also shared some photos from their recent Thanksgiving Day celebrations, and it became evident that they weren’t together.
Reports about Dobrev and Powell dating first made headlines earlier this year, but it was only confirmed sometime in July. “Nina and Glen are dating. They were friends and it turned to something more a little while ago. They like each other and are seeing where it goes. Nina was just in a serious relationship so she’s being careful, but Glen is the best to her and treats her so well,” a source said.
The couple was also spotted hanging out with each other at Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich’s wedding in Idaho on the same month. “They have a similar group of friends and have seeing each other on the low for a little while,” a source said at that time.
Before dating Powell, Dobrev was a in a relationship with Austin Stowell between 2015 and 2016. Their split also had to do with their busy schedules. Dobrev also dated Hough’s brother, Derek Hough, in 2013, but their relationship only lasted for a couple of weeks. Dobrev and her “TVD” co-star, Ian Somerhalder, were together between 2010 and 2013.
