Nintendo Switch Pre Orders, 'Zelda' Bundles: Where You Can Buy New Console Before Its Release Date
The Nintendo Switch, which is Nintendo’s latest home console, is getting increasingly closer to its March 3 release date. Priced at $299, the Nintendo console will have a handful of original and ported games available at launch. But if you’re looking to purchase a Switch, what bundle and pre-order options will be available?
Nintendo Switch Pre-Orders
Nintendo Switch At Amazon
The Switch isn’t yet available for pre-order at Amazon, but Amazon users can add the item to their wishlists or sign up to receive email notifications for when pre-orders are available again.
Nintendo Switch At Best Buy
The Switch is similarly unavailable for pre-order, but Best Buy will be hosting local midnight launch events at various local stores. Consoles, games and accessories will be available at 12:01 a.m. at your store’s local time and limited quantities of posters for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be available. Check out Best Buy’s site to find a local store hosting a midnight launch near you.
Nintendo Switch At Target
Console pre-orders for the Switch at Target are unavailable, but you can still pre-order games and accessories like controllers or carrying accessories.
Nintendo Switch At GameStop
The game retailer temporarily offered pre-orders for the Switch, but Gamestop quickly ran out of initial inventory. But Gamestop announced Thursday it will have a limited number of units available for walk-in purchases. The retailer encourages customers who want a Switch on day one to go to a midnight launch event at a Gamestop store.
Nintendo Switch At Wal-Mart
Pre-orders are still unavailable through Wal-Mart and the brick and mortar retailer isn’t slated to have the Grey Joy-Con version of the console in stock at launch.
Nintendo Switch At Toys-R-Us
Console and accessory pre-orders are unavailable, but Toys-R-Us still has pre-order options for game titles like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 1-2-Switch.
Nintendo Switch Bundles
Officially, Nintendo is only offering two Nintendo Switch bundles. The Switch bundles only feature different colored controllers, as one bundle has grey controllers, while the second has blue and red controllers.
However, GameStop announced two combined bundles for the Switch. One bundle features the Switch, the Switch’s Pro controller and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for $429.99. The second bundle features everything in bundle one, but includes a strategy guide for Breath of the Wild for a total price of $454.99. Neither bundle offers a discount over buying the items individually, but you’ll at least have the added convenience of having all the items and accessories at the same time.
