Bookstore In Space? No, You Are An April Fool [VIDEO]
A so-called ‘reporter’ posted an article about Amazon opening their first store at The International Space Station, turns out it was for April Fool’s Day. Reuters

It seems even so-called ‘reporters’ are even having fun this April fool’s Day, with Roger Tagholm from the bookseller.com writing an interesting article this morning about an ‘historical’ joint venture with Amazon and NASA.

The article said that Amazon would be creating their first bookstore in space, at The International Space Station. The article said the bookstore would be open this summer with over 2,000 ‘physical’ books.

To be honest, the article was almost believable until they got to the part about Jess Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, and his passion for space travel.

The article said that the Bezos would be going to the Space Station with authors and publishers for tours with “freeze-dried white wine, and vacuum sealed canapés”. Considering that it costs millions of dollars to get to the space station these so called tours are impossible.

Hannah Ross on twitter stated “best April Fool” and tweeted story, as did Andy Lavender who called it “fantastic”. The story has been retweeted over 3,000 times and shared on Facebook over 1,000 times.
